Thriller Music

Music starts of slow, low brass and double basses, or synthesized.

•Gets heaver, and faster.

•Symbols, brass instruments, heavy orchestra

•drums used more frequently this could relate to rash actions,

•Indication to violence

•Two types of music used at the same time

•This could indicate that there are two separate sides to the story

•Music changes rapidly, which could represent either a change in a characters a  behaviour or feelings towards a situation.

•The way the music is constructed could resemble the story and in the pattern that it happens (follow the story line).

•The music creates tension

            - viewer

            - characters

            - two situations or more

            - sets the mood for the first scene

•Instantly gets your attention and draws you into the film.

•Music relates to the picture sequence

•As the picture moves faster, the music gets faster and more upbeat.

•The type of music changes throughout the opening sequence.

·      As the camera goes through the bat cave, the music is more intense, implying that it could be somewhere that there is a lot of action, or where a big part of the film is played.

·       The shot starts in the sky, a dark blue colour, this indicates a type of theme to the film, if it was a red sky, it could be perceived as ‘warm’ or gentle.

·      It moves down as though it is going through an entrance to something.

·      The music and the way the camera is used could also give the impression that it could be a secret type place, but also has lots of action.

·      The whole sequence is very dark.

-       Secretive

-       Quirky
